Dental implants .... modern solution to compensate for the extracted teeth

When the tooth was taken off for any reason ( even though we reject the extraction of teeth  except in cases of lack of cure which is usually rare and very limited), it must be replaced by artificial tooth as early as possssible after extraction. The artificial tooth can sometimes be installed shortly after extraction for the aesthetic purpose especially if the tooth was in the anterior region, probably the upper front.

Why is it necessary to install the artificial tooth after taken off the natural tooth????
Because of the following reasons:
1 - If a tooth is taken off, the adjacent teeth from both sides shift to it.
2 - If they continue to move, they become oblique and the space become narrow.
3 - And the opposite tooth moves towords the extracted tooth and becomes conflicted and overlapped with each other, and this leads to the broken teeth. It is apparently mentioned in the picture below:

It is therefore important to install an artificial tooth in place of the missing tooth immediately and quickly otherwise, the loss would be too large to dental health and the health of the person himself.

What is the definition of a dental implant???

A dental implant is a metal device designed to replace missing teeth. The device is usually made out of titanium and is surgically placed into the jawbone where the tooth is missing. Unlike a dental bridge, an implant is permanent. A dental implant is designed to act as the tooth root and can anchor an artificial tooth or teeth such as a crown, bridge or denture.

Method of implantation of dental implants:

It is very, very simple and easy and not painful at all. Also, quick implementation does not take the implant not more than 20-30 minutes and it is conducted with special tools and do not require, in most cases, surgery or sewing, but the intervention within the bone is comfortable, smooth, safe, painless and there is no side effect nor any problem.
It is easier than the extraction of the tooth, puling the nerve out, and preparation of teeth for the work of the old traditional structures.

Clinical cases:

An Emirati woman, 55 years old, came to our clinic with the complaint of mobile lower front teeth with no hope to maintain it because she has a severe abscess in the bone , as well as inflammation of the ligaments surrounding the teeth. Therefore, the treatment plan is to take off the lower lateral tooth and then wait for a month for planting their place. It is also noted that lower incisors were taken off since long time ago and this is the picture which shows the conditiion after extraction and before implanting.

At the time of the implantation procedure, we gave the patient a local anesthetic and we inserted two implants in her lower jaw with ease and comfort. It can be obviously seen in the picture.

Two months later, the patient again came to the clinic and it is seen that the two implants were in a stable situation with strong bone and properly healed gums and free of any inflammation. We took the measurement of her teeth including implants and we put the final fixtures on the implants after  a week as shown in the picture:

Final Score:

The result was very impressive because the patient got the new teeth which is totally similar to the  natural tooth without any harm to the  neighboring teeth. She left the clinic happily with a  pleasant smile by saying that she felt that she has attained her youth again.
